What is the secret to Chipotle's success? Its simple they only offer 3 types of Mexican food burritos, tacos, and salads. Which this allows them to perfect their products quality and taste since they only offer three items. Their CEO also decided to use a simple business plan which entails hiring full time employees instead of part-time. They also only buy quality products to put into their menu items allowing for much better taste then what you would find at other quick service restaurants where cheaper is better in thier eyes. This is why they share 20 percent of the quick service food restaurants sales in the USA.
I can see why they are a billion dollar restaurant. You are always going to get better quality products from a full time employee vs. a part-time employee. When you put quality first people will notice even if they don't care about what it takes to get that quality. The less items on your menu the easier it is for consumer to chose what they would like and its quicker for you to make it. I wish there were more restaurants like Chipotle's.
