Canada’s Wonderland

Most people who visit the GTA (Grand Toronto Area) in Ontario have one main incentive that likely brought them here, and that’s to visit one of the largest and popular theme parks in Canada, which is known as “Canada’s Wonderland”. The variety of recreational activities that this theme park has to offer is a must-have experience for family and friends visiting this area. This is one of the best highly-recommended, excitement-filled destinations that visitors should at least visit every one in a while as it’s expensive. Of course, there is much more to Wonderland than its rides, but they inevitably play a huge part in the excitement of visiting here. During these visits, people explore all of Wonderland, but cannot finish everything in a day as there is lots to explore. It is well known for having the defining characteristics that make it a top amusement park and most visited area in GTA, hence “Wonderland”. Besides rides, this theme park offers many opportunities to further explore other attractions like shopping, live entertainment, live dinosaurs, and splash works.

A fairly large number of visitors to Wonderland are mainly repulsed from their everyday lives, needing to relax and enjoy life’s attractions for once. The park is humongous, around 330 acres, which makes for quick-decision making among most people who are afraid of the growing crowds around some of their favourite rides. Some of the most popular rides are the Behemoth and the Leviathan. The crowds are the thickest among these two rides. These two roller-coasters offer the perfect thrilling experience for those thrill-seekers who want to have their heart jump and feel a strong sense of g-force (the feeling of your stomach getting lighter, making some queasy), all the while screaming. People often like to get through these rides first before moving on to other attractions because the lines get extremely long for these two rides as the day progresses with more visitors coming in. That’s why many people tend to get a fast lane pass, twice the admission charge, which gives them access to skip past others who have the regular pass. As readers can predict, this has caused outward jealously and frustration among regular pass customers towards the fast-lane buyers and the management staff of this park.

There are many shopping areas in Wonderland that people visit. There are several students who give up their time in order to work at these shopping areas, particularly if they are good with children and have excellent social interaction skills. This is the main reason why these workers work there. They enjoy their jobs and this benefits them with money. Although pricey, like everything else in Wonderland, the top favourite shops for these people are the ones that kids have interest in. They all sell souvenirs, stuffed animals, toys, licensed merchandise, and things of that nature. Although this puts stress on a number of parents, the workers there treat their jobs importantly and take it upon themselves to negotiate with the parents. This is to prevent the hassle of parents getting angry about spending too much money on expensive products.

There are many sources of live entertainment in Wonderland in which people embrace themselves within. From animal shows to theatrical drama performances, there is something for everyone. Many families like going to the live dolphin and seal shows, especially their children. The dolphins and seals do interesting tricks like flipping their body and making cute sounds. People even get to pet them at the end, which is why kids love these shows. Many people also love going to the magical shows where they have volunteers from the audience, usually kids, to help with a trick. The audience gasp and the magicians seem to enjoy their jobs, as they are enthusiastic and friendly. Then later on in the afternoons, there are kids’ shows like crazy clowns telling crazy stories to a vast majority of kids accompanied by adults, who give out balloons to the kids that want them. The clowns are humorous and also seem to enjoy their jobs as well. Then there are music shows as well. Many bands, usually rock and metal or hip-hop, come in to play on stages usually when there is a high-volume of people in the noon and evening. People dance to the tune while they’re playing. There’s some jazz music, these bands usually play in dining areas. People love this accompaniment of music while they’re eating and chatting amongst themselves. The place is always very crowded too.
