Capital Punishment

The death penalty or capital punishment is a very controversial issue, commonly debated by the people of the United States. On the one side you have the people believing capital punishment is the best thing ever to happen to the Justice System and on the other hand many believe capital punishment is outdated, overused, and flat out immoral. I, myself lie more towards the in favor side of the issue. I feel you cannot put a price on someone's life, a person has the power to make the choice to commit a crime, and that the law needs to protect the people no matter how harsh it seems.
You simply cannot put a price on the life of an individual. In order to be placed on death row, one must commit an act of murder. If one can take someone's life from them so easily, I believe the punishment of death obviously fits the crime. A life for a life is the motto we should abide by. People argue that the death penalty costs too much money. When taken into consideration of the punishment that is called for, justice should not take heed to the price tag required to follow through with the capital punishment process. America can purchase million dollar missiles without hesitation, but when it comes to justice being served, we debate over the cost of equitable punishment being sentenced to a criminal who took a human's life away? This human life that was taken may have been the same life that was a daughter's hero, or a wife's true love. If a person's life is not worth the cost of capital punishment then I don't know what is. People spend more than the cost of death penalty on yachts everyday. If a person can kill another they have taken more than a yacht from the family of that person. The justification issue within the larger issue of capital punishment is very easily won by those pro on the death penalty.
