In the sharp printing case study, the company set up a main goal that the color laser printer should be available for less than $200. Then, the senior management met to discuss the cost estimate, product launch date and something else of the new product. Middle management was excited in the new product, but the R&D workers were worried about the technology requirement to manufacture color laser less than $200 with high quality. Based on the project scope, manager need to consider about project cost and time estimation that to reduce the risk ratio of the large project. In the project, defining time and cost is helpful for a technological product to against the competitors with a close price. A technological product which needs to sell for the low price with high quality, it should be considered about the performance and value. Moreover, expenses of top management enhanced by $1,250,000, and the macro estimation tried to cut off the cost in some areas. So, as for me, I would like to balance the time, cost and performance requirement to estimate reasonably. Besides, finding outsourcing technology from other companies is also helpful to decrease the time and cost of the project scope. In this situation, building up a favourable relationship with external assistance is conducive to obtain more profit and complete the project on time. Last but not least, I would like to make detailed for the WBS work packages, and hold several meetings for top management to discuss the uncertainty within the time and budgets.
