Merging Corporate Cultures

As InterClean's CEO noted in the executive meeting "employee morale is currently low and management is concerned about how employees will perceive the staffing audit and follow up." The HR team must effectively communicate to employees how the restructuring will affect them directly, in order to minimize employee speculation via the grapevine. "Maintaining employee morale when the actions taken by management seem to suggest that people are expendable requires extraordinary leadership skills," (Dreher & Dougherty, p. 13).
