In my opinion, gum should be allowed at Leyva Middle School because it helps student and teachers socialize better and get the student to concentrate more in class.

Even though two hundreds years has passed, people still chewed gum, like the ancient Greek, to sweeten their breath and clean their teeth. The urge you get from chewing was actually started when you were a baby and sucking on that pacifier. The child soon discovers a pleasing alternative that tastes of gum, which gives the same satisfaction. Many dentists recommend chewing gum after meals, which can help get out the food that stuck in your teeth. Also, the refreshing smell of your breath can attract the person youÐ'ÐŽÐ'¦re talking to. If youÐ'ÐŽÐ'¦re going on a diet, gums can help you reach your goal because they contain very few calories. All in all, gum is refreshing way to help your breath and your life getting better everyday.
In addition, studies had shown that students pay better attention when chewing gum in class.
