China is one of the world's first countries to become more developed than
any other country in Asia during the 20th Century. China used to be a very poor country
with communism leading most of their lives for survival. Most people in China were
peasants and their only way to survive was to follow the commands of Mao Zedong and
his thinking of creating "Utopia" for China. Mao however failed his people miserably and
left his country scrambling for food and money.
Since 1980's however China's Reform Era came when China started
modernizing in agriculture, industry, technology and national defense. Throughout the
1980's Chinese farmers fertilized the land to make it possible to grow a lot of crops since
the population started rapidly growing. Chinese started to build factories for production
of plastic and rubber since it was a natural resource for them. Science and Technology
also had a big impact on china just recently China sent its first space shuttle into space
to show the world that they're developing better than expected.
China also started training their army and started to mess around with all kinds of
high tech gadgets to protect its country and build up national defense
All this modernization had a big impact on China's economy since they started
Trading the goods they mass produced to foreign countries all around the world and that
led one of the poorest countries to become wealthy rich in resources and had a big
impact on today's economy of China!
Some of the benefits of China's development are technology and its impact
on the world and mass producing all kinds of goods like plastic toys or electronics for
trade. China's ability to specialize in a lot of products whether man made or from natural
resources led the country's economy to rise from nothing to one of the most developed
countries in this world.
Since 1980 China has developed and advanced in technology. At
first China started making cameras, televisions, and camcorders
Another Chinese breakthrough came when the Chinese started to
build a lot of factories to mass produce toys, sneakers and all kinds of small household
cheap goods like lighters and export them all around the world. China has become one of
the biggest trading countries in the last 20 years! Nowadays almost anything you buy in
the store whether its clothes or electronics they were mostly produced in China. Chinese
people became much smarter and more advanced than any other country in Asia.
They contributed much more in technological advances than the U.S. in fact most of the
gadgets that are being developed as concepts in the U.S market like cell phones and mp3
players are being developed and tested by the Chinese first before it hits the U.S. market.
These are just some of the many benefits that China contributed to the world.
Even though China has a lot of Benefits from Trading and mass producing
There are also a lot of hazards associated with China's way of doing business.
After reading Global Issues Protect Workers Rights by Bruce Raynor I can
Conclude that the workers in the factories are being paid much less than the minimum
wage and that they are forced to work in filthy and hazardous to health conditions which
aren't safe to work at all! Besides getting paid pennies and endangering their health they
are also polluting their whole country and surrounding other countries close by with
pollution. Toxic Fumes and other waste that comes out from the factories cloud up the
whole sky with poison that spreads throughout the country and make the whole day look
like night since there are so many factories and all of them contribute to pollution.
China has the biggest population in the world with more than
1,320,000,000 people and all of them have to breathe in the toxic chemicals that are in
the air everyday but it doesn't end there. PBS made a video called Voices of Concern
where they explained how Chinese pollution also affects us Americans. On the sea coast
of California seals and other water animals were found dead or dying but no one knew
where it came from but the research team later learned that the
