Before I started, a talk by any author at the sales conference presentation is
The sales conferences provide a great opportunity for a company to entertain its employees and it also a chance to provide a chance to exchange the idea and discuss the plan for coming year (West & Ze, 2004). A brief description of the book (Cowan 2005):
First of all, let me explain the main theme of this book. Island and Inlets of the B.C. Coast: A Photographic Tour is a visual tour book which includes various faces of the scenery of the B.C. coast. As I am from Vancouver, B.C., it was one of my dreams to publish a series of books which introduce my beautiful home city. For many people, the island and inlets of the B.C. coast may still appeal as a peaceful natural habitat, however, there has been a great deal of pollution and destruction around the area of B.C. coast. The aim of the book is by sharing the photographs of the B.C. coast, I, instead of the nature, speak to the readers to be aware of the situation and to be able to do something to prevent the precious nature from the environmental pollution.
Key selling points (Cowan, 2005):
This book, Island and Inlets of the B.C. Coast: A Photographic Tour, is a second issue of the ÐŽ§Photographic Tour SeriesÐŽÐ. The first issue, ÐŽ§The City of Vancouver: A photographic TourÐŽÐ, was one of the bestseller in Canada in 2005. ÐŽ§The City of Vancouver: A Photographic TourÐŽÐ, was my very first attempt to collaborate poem (my profession) and photographs. It was one of my dreams to collaborate poem to my photographs that talk about the precious B.C. nature with photographs that I have been taking over 10 years around the B.C. coasts. My aim for this book was to introduce the beautiful B.C. nature to the B.C. residence as well as the people in all over the world, and also I was wish to raise peopleÐŽ¦s awareness toward environmental destruction in local and natural communities. ÐŽ§The City of Vancouver: A photographic TourÐŽÐ was enjoyed not only by local residence, but also by nature lovers and travelers in all over the world. Since this book series have targeted various kinds of potential audiences, the locals, the nature lovers and the travelers, it will have high chance to be another bestseller in B.C. this year. The return rate of the first series of the book, The City of Vancouver: A photographic Tour, was at 18%. Although it will not guarantee the success of the second issue, since it is somewhat the matter of selling the right book at the right timing, there are quite high possibility to be successful since there were so many great feedbacks from the readers who really enjoyed the first book of the photographic tour series.
Yet talking photographs is not my profession, I have spent a great deal of time learning about photographs and taking pictures for over 8 years. Last year (2005), I was nominated to the best B.C.ÐŽ¦s amateur photographer as my third time. My focus of photographs is always the scenery of nature; therefore, I am very confident that I capture the best part of B.C. natural habitat in this book.
Moreover there have been 10 publications of my books about poetry. I had been awarded the best seller of the year in B.C. for three times in the past. Since last book of poems, a memory of a tree, has been printed in 2003, I have been working on this new series, Photographic Tour which contain both of my favorite pieces of poems and photographs. A memory of a tree has become a national bestseller on CanadaÐŽ¦s book review.
In the jacket of Island and Inlets of the B.C. Coast: A Photographic Tour, there is a positive comment from David Suzuki. It was an honor for me to receive a comment from him since I really admire his work. David Suzuki have commented that the book is very pleasurable
