A young woman sits in a room, ignoring the sun setting outside. Silent murmuring and crumpling of papers surrounds the room. With the future right at her fingertips, she passionately schemes and implement until she sees before her, generation unfolding. She is designing the next generation medical device that would aide doctors in better treating their patients. This is how I envision myself in 5 years. Throughout my life I have had many dreams of becoming everything from a doctor to a pilot. However, with maturity (rephrase this sentence and say something like, over the years, I have come to learn about my true interests in life) I have narrowed it down to one aspiration. I have many strength and some weaknesses. Math and science have long been academic strength of mine. It has long intrigued me, and also greatly influenced my own beliefs. My great interest in math and science along with influential teachers, have led me to strive to become an engineer. The greatest gift that can be bestowed upon a person, in my view is a career that would create a positive change in people’s lives and the environment. I have had many great teachers throughout my academic journey, but two have had a positive influence in my life. In my first semester of college, I met a brilliant teacher of political science. He taught me that the decisions we make today could impact how we live our lives tomorrow. So make your decisions wisely, for what tomorrow brings is what you plant today. Most recently during my final year of community college I have had the pleasure of having a remarkable physics teacher. He showed me how things worked around us and why, inspiring me to learn more about engineering. My aspiration today is built around these lessons learned. I consider myself to be the product of their aspirations and teachings.
