I found the topic that the guest speaker was talking about was very interesting, even though I don't know much about Europe. I never been there but my brother has been there. Anyways, I did not take that much notes about the two governments because the guest speaker was talking more about the definitions on the paper he gave us. In fact, I did not take any notes about the similarities between American government and European government.
The differences between the American government and the European governments are: The European government has three major parties, the labor party, the conservative party, and the liberal democrats' party. While the Americans have two major parties and they are: the democrats' party, and the Republican Party. The United States is a democracy while Europe is a parliamentary democracy. Parliament democracy is a democracy that is a democracy/monarchy.
The similarities is both the United States and the Europeans both have democracies. And they both have presidents (at least some of the countries in Europe). They both have ministers or secretary of cabinets, and they both have coalition governments, because they join together when addressing an important issue, and because they have representatives for each country or part of a country.
The conclusion to all this is that, both of the governments of the Americans and the Europeans are very much alike but very different at the same time. I look at the Europeans government like an improved version of the American government because the Europeans are a democracy but at the same time they are a democracy/ monarchy. I'm not completely sure on how it works. And most of the stuff I wrote was based on my opinion.
