Brad Paisley Bonfires and Amplifiers Tour (Special Guests Taylor Swift and Rodney Atkins)
Country Concert
General Reaction: I thought this was an amazing concert and was my very first non-classical concert. I enjoyed this very much and I feel that Brad Paisley is an awesome entertainer.
Composition I liked best: I would have to say my favorite composition was "When I Get Where I'm Going" by Brad Paisley. Paisley grew up in a small town in West Virginia and began playing guitar and singing in his teens. Within days of graduating at Belmont University in 1995 with a music business degree, he was hired as a song writer in 1995 by EMI Music Publishing. He has been a star since 1999 in his own right and has won many country music awards. Some of his best pieces are "The World", "Whisky Lullaby", "Celebrity", "When I Get Where I'm Going", "Ticks", "Alcohol", and "Online". Paisley was accompanied with another country music star Dolly Parton in the recording of "When I Get Where I'm Going".
Performance of this work: I thought this was an awesome performance of this song because as he was playing he had a video slideshow with still photos with deceased celebrities the image that really filled me with emotion was the still frame of the twin towers standing. That frame made me tear up seeing as that I am a volunteer firefighter and just brought back such strong memories.
Overall Performance: I feel that all the three artists did a wonderful job especially Paisley he got the crowd involved and enticed in every song. The lights and the videos that went along with his songs were really awesome. During the song "Alcohol"
