When developing a project is a good idea to have a plan and be organize. In order to have an effective meeting the manager should start the meeting on time even if everyone is not present, out an agenda, and set a time to end the meeting. Occasionally, the manager could mention the progress of the meetings, appoint someone to take notes, encourage participation from everyone, and review what would need to be done by the next meeting. While working on a project some barriers may occur. Some of those barriers would be priorities of the project, how resources are spent, and the quality of certain work or tasks, and solutions to certain problems. To overcome these barriers Briggs could mediate the conflict. By mediating the manager steps in and negotiate a solution by reasoning and persuasion. The mangers would have to find a common ground. The second thing would be to arbitrate the conflict. In this stage the manager would impose a solution after listening to each party. Finding a solution is important in order to save face. The third would be to control the conflict. A way to reduce conflict would be to smooth differences or provide humor is a good strategy. If that does not work then take time off for people to cool off. The fourth would be to accept it. Sometimes the manager will not be able to resolve the issue and will have to live with it. The fifth would be to eliminate the conflict. In this stage if the manager knows who started the conflict then he/she can be removed from the project. These are all helpful ways in which Kerzner can make their celebration a success.
