Infracomm - Hostel Infrastructure committee

Statement of Purpose:

Infracomm is the hostel infrastructure team of IIM Udaipur working towards solving any infrastructure related issues of the hostel.

Scope of Work:

The Infrastructure team would look after the upkeep of the amenities provided at the hostel block.The team would serve as a point of contact between the students residing in the hostel block and the administration team for facilitating any work that would help and maintain the infrastructure. Any issues arising due to loss of property of repair would be escalated to the administration department.

Structure of the committee

Each lobby/wing of hostel will have one representative. As per the current hostel structure, it is a 8 members team represeneting MDS ground and first floor, RHKL, silk route, ST (2) and girls hostel (2)

Roles & Responsibilities:

• To facilitate communication between the students and the administration body on infrastructural issues and other facilities pertaining to hostel block

• The committee members would ensure that the amenities provided by the college are used in the right manner and any loss or damage to the college property is reported to the administration

• Each member is accountable for maintenance and upkeep of his/her hostel block

• The committee members are responsible for ensuring that every complaint received from the fellow student body is rightly represented to the authorities

• The committee members are entitled to raise issues that improve the living standards in and around hostel block with the administration

• The committee member will also ensure that the requirement of students be fulfilled with respect to requirement of the time

• The committee member will not be responsible for any issue related to Wifi and printer

• The members would monitor whether the hostel block is cleaned at a regular interval

• Any issues arising with the cleaning personeel would be reported directly to the administration department

• The core – committee members are in charge of all the watercoolers and other assests provided by he administration

Water & Water Cooler:

• The core committee members would ensure that the RO purifier levels are monitored twice in a month in the prescense of the administration staff

• Any maintainence issues regarding watercoolers would be taken up with the administration

Locks:

• The locks provided by the administration authorities shall not be broken or replaced in any situation

• In case of lost of key by the student, the same needs to be reported to the administration

• In case the student breaks the lock on its own, a fine as decided by the college administration would be applicable
