“CVS bashing” has been continuing talking about on Internet since 2011. However, “CVS Health was ranked #18 in Fortune 500 and 90 billion profit annually.” (sdn) It is surprised to read people’s bad experiences in a top 20 in Fortune 500 and profitable company. “Making so much profit is not that same as having higher quality of employment.” It is often to see people work for CVS Health complains about their bad work place and pressure. “The most common complaints were about CVS Health stores being understaffed and employees having too much work to do allotted time. Employees also reported that their managers had ‘unreasonable expectations’” (Pharmacy Times) Slave-driving management by CVS Health is the most common complain in work experience. Employees are angry about working 10 hours and 12 hour shifts on consecutive nights without a lunch break, even though their management group is still not satisfied. It is clear that people getting angry and start to hate CVS Health because of their immoral and unethical management behaviors. When those real complains exposes on the Internet, it not only loses current employee and less people would work for them anymore, and also harm CVS Health’s reputation. It let costumer or stockholder to rethink the value of the company. Is CVS Health still a best place to buy pharmacy or invest capital? Are those issues already violating the corporate social responsibility include workplace, ethics and human rights? And more, it is so pathetic to see response from director of Public Relations for CVS, Mike DeAngelis, “CVS is proud of its workplace programs and policies that ‘help make our company one of the best places to work’. We do not believe those reflects the experience of our 200,000 colleagues.” This react from top management is not professional, solve the issue instead of doubt it is right thing to do, you cannot doubt masses because their eyes are discerning.
