David Rector

Dr. Micheal Lauderbaugh

American history 202

17 January 2016

My life began on August nineteenth nineteen ninety-seven was born in Pittsburgh General Hospital. I love my parents to death they are John and Shanna Rector they were both born from Knoxville Tennessee. They moved up to Pittsburgh to live near my dad’s side of the family. So I was born up there but we moved shortly after my birth because my father got a job in Huntsville Alabama for NASA. So we moved to Decatur which is 20 minutes away from there Decatur is a nice size town. My parents shortly after our arrival found us a church to attend on Sundays and later for me Sundays and Wednesday nights.

After our attending of central Baptist church my parents put me in mother days out or other words day care. I quickly made a best friend whose name was John David Wheeler which is kind of funny because my name is David John Rector. Our parents knew each other so we kind of had to hangout so we quickly became close over time. We loved cars and trains and fighting we fought a lot we were pretty evenly matched so we both won and lost some and then there were times we both lost because our moms caught us. I was always smarter and bigger for him but he was quicker. We made more friends at mother’s day out while also learning about the bible and god. I eventually went to elementary school and had the most amazing teacher ever but I started too early because of my birthday. So my parents held me back a year because I was younger than everyone so by doing so they made me the oldest in my grade and I was so mad at my mother at the time but later on in life like now I am glad she did it. What was funny to me was john david had to be held back also so I had a buddy to hangout and get into trouble with in Mrs. Tedford’s class. I went through my school and loved every part of my sketchy little elementary school which is named the Woodemeade Cubbies. So I went onto sixth grade and was kind of scared but at the same time excited so I went on and made new friends but still having john david with me helped. Cedar ridge middle school was called the lady black bears so I was still technically a bear just like elementary. I quickly fell in love singing and joined the chorus and then in seventh grade I played basketball, football and soccer. I made captain of the soccer and football team quickly and I loved every single second of it. I tried out for all state chorus and made that for two years straight and was captain of football and soccer. I went onto high school at Austin High school which is called the black bears so I was a bear for my entire school years of kindergarten through tweleth grade. I made varsity soccer team freshman but made jv/ varsity for football. I excelled or thought at least I was in the classroom quickly I ended my first semester with A’s and B’s so I was fairly happy with myself.  I joined chorus and made show choir as a freshman I was extremely excited for that because I adored singing but the dancing part wasn’t really my favorite part at first but I quickly came to like it. I tried out for allstate chorus and made it my freshman sophomore and senior year I couldn’t tryout my junior year because I was overwhelmed with school and football.
