Death Penalty, this is a very uneasy subject. Some may say it is the right way to go, while others say it is immoral. I feel that the death penalty should be used in all states. I feel that having the death penalty is humane. The death penalty would help society by making sure that the criminal never has the option to be back on the streets with parole, it will also help the overcrowding problem in the prisons, and it will giver relief to the families victim. Many religions say that the death penalty is plain out wrong.

Have you ever sat in a bus or train and wondered, is this man/women next to me a murderer or rapist. I am going to guess you do not, but the scary thing is they just might be. We take risked everyday in this world as is but knowing that there are criminals freely walking the streets after commenting horrific crimes. I believe in the "Eye for an Eye" theory which if a person injured another person they should be penalized to a similar degree. How can one murder an innocent soul and then possibly do life but they still get the chance to live, to see family members, to grow old, breathe, yes sit in a jail cell but meanwhile the other human being was cheated out of life, I do not find this fair by any means. So the question here is, why does that individual get a second chance of life in jail while the victims life was taken? That is something to think about!

There are so many overcrowded prisons. Its sad that we actually have to say that prisons are over populated due to so much crime in the world. The criminal justice has to hire more staff, build more prisons, make more room, hire doctored, nurses, psychiatrist, and much much more, for what to accommodate a murder. If the death penalty was an option in the state of Illinois, I guarantee the overcrowding would be down to a minimal and there would be more money  to do funding where it is needed. Why should the hard working tax payers have to support murders, not that inhumane.
