Using the internet, find an example of decision-making software advertised by a company. While any and all software can be used to help make decisions you should look for software that is designed specifically to help with the decision making process. Once you select a decision software package to review, use information from the software company itself as well as reviews from other sources to answer the following questions:

1. How is this software designed to help with decision-making? What method does it use?

2. Do you think that this software would help improve decision-making? Why or why not?

3. Would this software affect how the user frames a decision? If so, how?

Fair Isaac Corporation, a provider of analytics, and decision technology, has announced the availability of its Enterprise decision Manager(EDM) Software Solution. It gives organizations control of their automated decisions while reducing the time and costs required to incorporate important changes. EDM combines predictive analytics, business rules and business user control into a complete platform for managing decisions across an enterprise.

I do think this software would help to improve decision-making. EDM integrates other Fair Isaac decision management tools such as Fair Isaac Blaze Advisor for rules management, Model Builder for model development and Decision Optimizer for improved decisions. Combined and extended, these tools provide any business that makes large numbers of dynamic, high-impact operational decisions, with the capability to accelerate the development and deployment of decision management applications.
