SPECIFIC PURPOSE: At the end of my speech, the audience should be able to recognize arguments for the use of anabolic steroids and arguments against the use of anabolic steroids.

B. Anabolic steroids has gradually become a topic of much debate in American society.
C. Many like William Dudley argue that anabolic steroids are the most dangerous and unnatural substances used by athletes today.
D. Others like Rick Collins suggest that the health risks or steroid use are exaggerated.

1. Anabolic steroids help rebuild tissue that have become weak
2. It boosts athletic endurance and gives athletes a competitive advantage

1. Use of drug may lead to heart attack and stroke
2. Steroids may cause infertility to both men and women
3. They may cause liver tumor and increase chances of cancer
