Description 1: Positive Effect: It is a beautiful day. The sun is out; the wind is blowing, so it's not the usual hot Texas weather. There I was, sitting underneath this giant and sheltered tree. As I sit there underneath its shade, cool and collected, the sight of two frenzied squirrels racing one another to reach the top of the tree adjacent to me provoked me to laugh. I also enjoyed my time watching cars pass by the street in front of me, many who failed to make a complete stop at the stop sign. I soon got bored watching the cars and started to observe the people walking up and down the sidewalk. They were typical college students with their books in their hand, carrying a backpack, and socializing with their peers.
Description 2: Negative Effect: The rays from the sun were making my eyes feel uneasy. There I was, sitting underneath this tree with the grass poking at my skin. As I sit there uncomfortably underneath its shade I could still feel the heat, I was beginning to sweat causing my face to get oily and my jeans were sticking to my skin. The cars that passed by me in the streets caused me to be more irritated at the sound of the screeching tires and loud music. Not only did that irritate me enough, the students who were walking up and down the sidewalk had cigarettes in their hand and my stomach cringed at the sight of it. Typical college students with a cigarette in their hand, thinking they looked cool.
