The Beautiful Creation
The sun's radiant light covers the Earth and penetrates through the orange sky. Its reflection on the still water is an image of God's most beautiful painting. I stand along the shore and gaze upon a magnificent scenery as the cool water washes the sand off of my feet. A breeze blows across my face and comforts my soul as it relieves my troubles and pain. The tranquility of a setting sun has shown me a glimpse of heaven, and the sound of waves pressing against the sand makes the scene all the more perfect. The scent of fresh air clears my thoughts as I reminisce about her beauty, and, once again, I catch myself thinking of her.
I look to the sky and watch the seagulls soar through the clouds. The freedom of the birds brings me hope of, one day, flying through the heavens and liberating myself from all of my enigmas. Yet, here I stand alone with images of her brilliant smile that replicates the sun and her eyes that bring a sense of peace to my heart. She is my sunlight and serenity. Faint whispers of her voice play through my mind as the waves gently sway across the ocean. I look back to see a sequence of footsteps, but hers remain unseen.
As the sun fades to the horizon, I recapture the moments we had shared in the past. Years had passed since my confession, and the way I had felt previously has not been surrendered. Her rejection had broken my heart, but, like the sun, I lie here with a promised love that will never stop shining. Through our disagreements, I had the privilege of understanding her sentiments and, each day, I desire to apprehend her thoughts even more. The sky turns dark and the moon gradually begins to appear in the night sky as I am in awe of God's alluring creation.
