Deshonna Rasco
Deshonna Rasco was born September10, 1996, in Saginaw, Michigan. Deshonna's childhood was surrounded by love from her father Dexter and her stepmother Robin. As a child, her father Dexter was not able to find employment so he found other opportunity to make money with random odd jobs. Dexter has been a great dad. He is a very funny and outgoing person according to Deshonna. Her step mother Sylvia works in the hospital as a custodian, and her step mother raised her as her own. She has been there for her and her sisters their whole life and is a very loving and hardworking step mother. Deshonna has two sisters, nine year-old Ciera and Autumn who is fourteen years old. Deshonna said Ciera is fun, loves playing with her baby dolls, computer games and going to school. Deshonna also mentioned about her sister Autumn, who in her words is the bad child. Deshonna sister Autumn is always getting into trouble and has no respect for adults.
Today Deshonna is attending Delta College working toward her associates degree in accounting. Every semester Deshonna is working a little closer to her goal. Deshonna plans after Delta is to attend Northwood to pursue her dream of receiving her bachelors in accounting. Growing up, she attended Nelle Hayle, Stone Elementary. She then went to Saginaw Charter Academy middle school and received her diploma from Heritage High School. She always strived for A's and B's and currently never misses a semester to sign up for classes. She feels this is the key to unlock her career potential. Deshonna believes that more education will help her achieve her goals in life and is very optimistic about the future. She also informed me that being

more educated woman can increase her self-confidence, earn more respect, and earn a high income. Deshonna is a strong African American woman whose ideas inspired other women. Deshonna has a bright future ahead of her she has the motivation and drive toward where she wants to be.
Deshonna's plan is having a stable job with a loving family that will support her during both good and bad times. She would like to have a family consisting of two to four kids after graduating and leaving Saginaw, Michigan. Her plan in the future consists of graduating from college and receiving her bachelor’s degree in accounting. After graduation, Deshonna plans on finding an accounting job close to where she lives so she doesn’t have to travel far. She is hoping but not rushing that Mr. right comes along and swoops her off her feet and marries her. Even though she would like to find Mr. Right, she would like to be in a position where financially she doesn’t have to depend on anyone. Another future plan of Deshonna is she would like to have a nice house with some land that her children can run, play and maybe grow a garden with vegetables and have a few dogs and cats.
