Does Absolute Moral Truth Exist?
In our world today we are so busy and constantly moving. Our society is consistently changing our views on our beliefs and how we act. Everything is just different. But in all of this time of change, is there still an absolute truth? I personally believe there is still an underlying absolute truth in this world.
For example, we base everything we do off our moral understanding. We do what we believe is the truth through our morals. Through our morals and beliefs we know that God exists in us and in our world. Others may not, but that is their own moral truth that we can't change. Everyone's truth is different but it is what keeps the world functioning.
Another example is our rights. We understand that these rights were given to us by God and we fight to keep them. We are acting out of our morals and values. Think about it. People don't go out of their way today to fight for something if they don't truly believe they are right. Our morals is what is driving us to go out because that is what we believe is the truth.
People in our world today though think that there is no absolute truth. They don’t believe that there always is a right or wrong, but there is. It's what they believe. If you rob a bank, is that always wrong? Yes even if you have your reasons for it. You are still taking other innocent people’s money away from them and maybe putting them into the same situation that you could be in. During this time, people may have changed their beliefs, but their own truth is still there, it is just different now. A second example of this is revenge on one another. It is never right it get revenge but people might be so distraught about it they start to change what they believe in. This change in morals encourages them that they are doing the right and that they believe that they are at no fault.
