Stop littering our home! Don’t trash California, or would you like it if I trashed your home, I don’t think so. Researchers have calculate that 55% of all littering is done intentionally by people who drop or discard products and experts estimate that approximately 80% of all littering is done by males, who would of thought. It takes 1 million years for glass bottles to breakdown and 200-500 years for aluminum cans to dissolve. California is one of our many states that people look forward to visit. Our state is filled with wildlife and huge cities, and huge cities produce pollution. Just because we have big cities it doesn’t mean our wildlife have to be chaotic. Why can’t we have both? Picture California 50 years from now, our population has grown one-third of the size of today, our cities gotten bigger and our wildlife has gotten smaller. You have just had a busy month and you would love to go on a vacation, so you planned to go camping with your family. You know that most of our state’s nature has gotten really dirty and it’s really expensive to go to a national park, because the price has doubled due to pollution. The lakes and oceans have become an ugly, gooey, green color; and the woods have less trees then before. This is what would happen if we don’t stop littering. My solution would be to pay the fine the first time and if they do it again they would have to become volunteer trash pickers for 30 days. Of course to avoid all this, the easiest thing to do is not to litter.
