Living a double life
(You don't need to answer out loud but be honest with yourself and really think about these two questions.)
Who in this room knows someone who's living a double life?
Who in this room is living a double life or has lived a double life?
And if you are, which we all have at some point in our life it doesn't help you at all and I know this because a while back I was living a double life.
Those who try to live a double life will eventually find themselves in a situation where they have to make a choice between living as the world and living righteously.
"I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me." -Galatians 2:20
-Paul's life was not his own, it was entirely dedicated to Christ
"And those who are Christ's have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires." One does not have to be an apostle or preacher for these statements to apply to them. All must set aside their desires and do those things that are pleasing to God." Galatians 5:24
- We must set aside our desires and do those things that are pleasing to God
Some of you may have asked your self if I can't serve God fully then why even try?
You can't start something and have it right away a relationship with God is the same way, you don't one day decided one day you believe in him and be all close with him it takes time in prayer, reading his word daily and obeying his word and using it in your life.
"And whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him." -Colossian 3:17
