This paper is on the importance on education and careers:

Want a high paying career but cannot figure out where to start? Feeling lost and stuck in a boring minimum wage paying job. Many individuals today are experiencing this unfortunate situation. Tyrone Bright is at that point in his life where he is experiencing this problem. He works hard each day and spends many hours making little to nothing in pay. The low wages have caused him to become behind in his bills and have difficulty in obtaining the necessities of daily living. Tyrone wants help but does not know where to find it. A "life coach" will enable Tyrone to establish a goal, find an answer to his problem, and determine the long-term effects that will undoubtedly turn his life around.

The first step to advancing in his life and becoming a productive adult is to determine his intended goal. There is a new threshold involved in Tyrone's endeavor. He must exhibit desire and determination to accomplish his quest. He needs to realize to cross this threshold that a hero lies within him and every hero has his or her own journey. As a hero he must follow a path that takes him from the world as he knows it, initiate himself into a new world order, which will return him forever changed, into that old world with his newly discovered talents and gifts to share with others (DeMers, 2000). Dealing with the problem with an open-mind is an elixir and is vital to his accomplishment of the steps he must take to the cure or answer. The cure will enable him to understand that education is the key factor in obtaining a career with a higher salary; understand that he will become more marketable, and that he will be able to afford to pay his bills.

After defining his goal Tyrone must determine the best choices, he has available to him to acquire the solution. First Tyrone can seek training on his job to help him advance within his present job. Using this solution will enable him to remain on the same job while allowing him to work toward receiving a better salary. On-the-job training is working as he is learning, and he will be more productive as he becomes more adept (Durham, 2010). According to Durham (2010),

"Often, on-the-job training is rushed in an effort to get the trainee up to speed as quickly as possible, and if the trainer does not find time to establish whether or not the trainee has grasped a particular skill and does not allow sufficient time for feedback, then that can render on-the-job training a waste of time (On the job training - Disadvantages, para. 2).

If staying on the same job is not going to give Tyrone the results he desires the next step would be to look for a better job.

Looking for another job takes time and effort that Tyrone may not have patience for and may result in many turn downs and many disappointing interviews. Furthermore, companies want to hire the best candidate for the job, and Tyrone may not fit the job description. Finally finding a better job is difficult when an individual is not qualified for a higher paying position. It is advisable that Tyrone not initiate this option because he will put himself through unnecessary rejections, and he needs to find an option with substantial long-term effects.

Continuing his education is the key to success, and many people are taking the important step of furthering his or her education and obtaining a college degree. Nevertheless, one must put one's mind to the steps it takes to accomplish this endeavor. Pursuing his education will enable him to be more competitive than ever. According to the free dictionary (2012) "Continuing education is a program of instruction designed primarily for adult students, and a program will bring Tyrone up-to-date in a particular area of knowledge or skills" (Continuing education, para.1 and 2). It will give him the cutting-edge knowledge and sophisticated skills to keep pace with technology and gain a professional edge through innovative programs in today's most influential industries (Continuing education expands career horizons, 2010). The cure will enable him to understand that education is the key factor in obtaining a career with a higher salary; understand that he will become more marketable, and that he will be able to afford to pay his bills.

Tyrone has determined
