Employee engagement
Employee engagement it’s an approach most organization use to ensure that they provide the best working conditions to the employees so that they ensure they get the best out of them and that the workers remain motivated and committed to the organization (William & Schneider, 2008). Employee engagement is based on the relationship between the organization and its members that are in terms of their trust, two-way communication, and integrity. As an employee, engagement in the workplace helps a lot it is clarifying to the employee their role and how their effort contributes to the overall success of the organization in achieving its goals and objectives (William & Schneider, 2008). And engagement for employers is ensuring that they create a working environment that meets the psychological contract of employees so that the employees can gain trust and commitment on their employer and this provides that employee gives their all to the organization (Fred & Peterson, 2012).
According to Quantum employee engagement trend report (2013), they found that Real Estate, Accommodation, Food Services had an average of 74.6 engaged employee. The survey also identified the five factors that contributed to employee engagement where four-factor was directly related to the organization leadership while the fifth was about the employee’s belief that the organization will be successful in the future.
Hay group employee engagement survey (2013) identified real estate as the leading leader of employee engagement. This survey highlighted that one of the leading factors contributing to employee engagement in this industry was employee enablement, respect, and recognition, authority, and empowerment. These reports show that employee enablement is one of the main factors that contribute to the employee being satisfied.
