Ender’s struggle between good and evil is a result of injustice governmental acts, manipulating his character. Ender’s internal suffering is stirred from the haunting fear he is becoming like Peter; who’s mind is akin to a Machiavellian. “I have to win this now…or I’ll fight it every day… will get worse and worse.” The amplification and high modality tone shows Ender’s desperate desire to succeed. The repetition of ‘worse’ portrays Peter’s Machiavellian outlook. Ender is compelled to express his dominance by eliminating his enemies to fulfill his conquest of his external battle. Through Shakur’s lyrics, it is evident that Shakur’s internal plight of prejudiced treatment donated by the media, is also representing how young black males struggle to survive the troubles of the streets. The use of the asyndeton and repetition of “understand my enemy, understand him well enough..” can be reflected as the bildungsroman in Ender’s life (entire book mention earlier ) . He destroys his enemies, however shows compassion and ‘loves’ during the process. This, meaning once he hurts others, he hurts himself as well.
