As a race we see our selves as technologically advanced, but are we? A NASA official recently released a race scale from one through three, one being the least advanced of a race and three being the highest race technologically. Human kind was given a one, what holds use back two things one how little of our brains we use and two the way in witch we gather and use energy. Think about it we get all most all of our energy from dead plants and animals. Fossil fuels such as coal, natural gas or oil. So you say well there isn't much I can do with my brain or energy sources so one it is. But wait there may not be anything that you can do about that brain but there is definitely something you can do about the energy source. A recent prediction stated that at the present rate that human kind would become extinct in 235 years. So I will be dead and you will be dead so who cares right. That same report stated that in 10 years it would be too late. I would like to stop that from happening because I don't want the next race to come along and dig me up and say there is one of those small brained humans couldn't even save there own planet. One alternative way is hydro electrical power witch we already use. This involves damming up a river and forcing water too flow through a turbine spinning the turbine and thus genorating electricity. One of these can generate enough power to run a town for a while or even a good-sized city. The major down fall is the need for a river close to the city or long power lines, it also damages the fish and wild life population and is very expensive. Another way to use water to create electricity is to separate the hydrogen and oxygen both are very flammable and could be used well to make heat with could then intern make electricity. Another great alternative is to use the power of the wind. Windmills have been used for generate to spin things so why not a turbine. These can make excellent power sources for small remote towns witch don't wish to have lengthy expensive power lines running to them. The down sided is that they require wind and are costly to set up. Nuclear is another form of power being used in many places it is reliable but dangerous and most experts are predicting a downfall. The next is solar this can be accomplished many ways the first it
