Three Wishes
Everyday three or more times we say that we wish we could have this or we wish we could have that. If I had the opportunity for three wishes of anything I want or desire it would be tough at first. Millions of things would run through my mind of what I always wanted but only be slimmed down to three wishes would be crazy. I think everybody first wish would be money, if I had to be more specific on my wish I would say a trillion dollars because I grew up in a low income home with not a lot of things. I believe if I was given this opportunity of three wishes I would request making it to the league for football, my family and I to stay healthy, and of course money.
As adults, there is something one wishes for everyday to come true. One wish I always had since I first started playing football in pop warner was to be able to play in the National Football League. I've been playing football since I was nine years old and ever since I stepped on the field for the first time I knew from that moment on this is something I want to do forever. If I was granted one wish I would go straight to the NFL. Given the wish to join the National Football League would change my life financially, my goals for greatness and it would be a dream come true.
It started when I went to church one time when I was nine years old and an older man walked up to my pops and asked if I was interested in playing football. My dad looked shocked, as if he never heard of football before. Then he looked at me and said if he wants to he can. Since that moment I could not believe someone actually looked at me and believed I had the perfect frame for some football. In fact, my first practice was that following Monday and I was super excited but do not get me wrong it was a struggle to get in the groove and learn football. Over time I learned pretty fast, after my first tackle in a game everything became so easy and smooth for me it was crazy. It felt like I had played football for years, when it was only my first year playing.
It would be a dream to make it into the National Football League and be able to play for my favorite team which is the Oakland Raiders. Given the wish to get there would be insane, I would put everything I had to being the greatest player to ever play there. Since I was about nine years old I knew I wanted to make this sport my career, it helps channel all my anger out on other people the legal way, and it clears everything in my mind. I know I would not be content with just being in the NFL I would want to do more and be the best because of where I came from and how I grew up. This is something I wish upon every day since I was in pop warner football.
I never grew up in the best neighborhoods and I believe football helped channel my anger issues that I got from my parents because they are both hot heads themselves. If I never got the opportunity to play football I think I would have been running the streets causing mayhem. Football helped channel a lot of my anger because it gave me a reason to hit someone without getting in trouble for it and it helped me release all negative thoughts. When I would step on the football field my mind would clear and the only thing I can think about was how bad I wanted to win and beat my opponent. I honestly believe I would be dead if my parents never put me in football especially since I grew up in the ghetto neighborhoods always getting into trouble with the kids in my area.
I have been playing football since I was about nine years old and I do not know why but every time I stepped on the field since then it felt like I had no worries in the world. It was almost as if I had a perfect life with no problems, when I put a helmet on it felt like I was a whole new person. I believe tunnel vision is a real thing because I felt it every time I stepped on a field and put a helmet on. I was pretty much married to the game and there was no way I could lose focus of my wife. Football has made me a wiser person and to never take anything for granite.
If I would get drafted right now into the National Football League I would literally go crazy! As soon as I sign my name on that contract I would buy each of my parents a new home and a car of their choice. I know my dad would not take the car at first because he told me if I ever make it that he is not going to take any of my money but I know if I persuade him enough he will take it. After taking to my dad enough he will take the things I give him, I am going to hand him a stack of money for him to hold on so he does not have to ever worry about anything financially. Then I would go up to my mom and take her shopping at wherever she wants to go.
Therefore given the opportunity to be granted my first wish there would be no hesitation in my heart that I would go to the National Football League. Since the very beginning of my young career at nine years old I knew if I ever had an opportunity to be on that field for the rest of my life I would make it happen. My wish would not only make my dream come true but it would help my family out financially. I would have set not only myself up for a great future but my future family would have a great life too. Getting to the National Football League in one wish would be every football players dream.
As my mom and dad are getting older their bodies are starting to slow down because of the work my dad does. With everyone in my family being healthy there would be no reason for my family of six to not achieve anything. My brothers would be able to excel in the sports they play and they would not get hurt. For my second wish, I would have my family and I be healthy as long as we live. It would help prevent my mother from having random chest pains, my father's body would not take so much of a toll, and my siblings would be injury free from sports.
Growing up my mom always had something wrong with her health and she would get random pains in her chest. For as long as I can remember my mom always seems to be in and out of the hospital. That kind of image does not really leave your head as a kid always hearing your mom crying having to take her to the hospital just so they can give her more medicine. It is tough and she is getting better but if I ever had the wish to change that I would do that in a heartbeat. Even though she is very active and always playing some type of sport like softball and even football believe it or not she is getting a lot better.
My dad always works hard especially with the work he does I know it takes a big toll on his body. Now that he is getting older I have grown to realize that he is not going to be able to do all the activities
