Environmental pollution and green house effect are the main concern globally now a days, these two titles are found almost in every newspaper every day, but how much companies are doing about it? Almost all organizations from different fields are blamed; manufacturing, agriculture, or service, all are found responsible for the vast pollution that eventually will destroy our planet. While many companies found this issue a threat for their business as awareness is increasing among people and actions seems to be taken by many, other companies found it as an opportunity to attract this new born segment in the market "Environment Lovers", and are working hard to make use of it. Whether companies are acting responsible because of other benefits or because they really care is not the big issue, but how many companies are doing something about it and are really as they claim "Environmentally Friendly" is. After the obvious negative effects of the industrial revolution; high temperature, disease, and water scarcity actions has been taken by many companies regardless the main purpose. Emirates group is one of the companies that are considered to be environmentally friendly.

Environmentally friendly refer to goods and services that follow guidelines and policies considered to impose minimal or no harm on the environment. In other words, environmentally friendly companies consider the environment in a way or another in different degrees. Emirates group is one of the biggest companies of transportation and travelling services holding the famous Emirates Airlines, DANTA, and others. Being in the airlines industry Emirates Airlines evidently has some responsibility for the massive pollution happening in this century, but is continuously trying to give back something to Mother Nature. Emirates Group has been practicing many deeds that support the environment and help fix some of the damages human kind are responsible for. One of the accomplishments is successfully completing 'world's longest green flight' journey, from Dubai to San Francisco that saved an estimated 2,000 gallons of fuel and 40,000 pounds of carbon emissions. Emirates Group, more specifically Emirates Airlines have strict environmental policies that are very seriously considered, and recently they have revealed a program called Emvironment, which is a series of new methods to further improve the environmental performance of its operations worldwide. Some of the recent undated Emviroment policies are; a global staff awareness campaign, and internal goals to reduce energy consumption and waste, as well as increase recycling and training. Emirates air lines have proven the concerns with actions by receive its first eco-efficient Airbus A380, which guarantees flying more passengers and burning less fuel and therefore emissions and is expecting 58 more from the same kind.

Emirates Airlines management are constantly updating their systems, and are in continues search for more environmentally friendly solutions. They invest heavily in new researches and technologies that help reduce waste. For instance, the airline helped to pioneer Flextrack with Air services Australia to use onboard navigational technology that saves time, fuel and emissions. Kitchens at Emirates Flight Catering are among the most eco-efficient in the world and recycle over 110 tons of paper, plastic and aluminum a month.

Besides trying all the best to reduce their distraction to the environment, Emirates Airlines try hard to support the already existing nature and help the endangered areas and species, to make a difference and a lasting impact on the beautiful nature. The developing of the Dubai Desert Conservation Reserve (DDCR) along with the government, Emirates airlines help protect the endangered species and provide support to the domestic environment by providing 100% of all visitor revenue from DCCR to conversation and wildlife care. Planting trees locally and abroad is something else Emirates group did to support the environment,6000 trees around the resort and conservation area in Dubai and 4000 acre in Wolgan Valley city, all to help reduce the CO2 in the air, increase the green land, and planted thousands of trees to provide food to some of the creatures that depend on it.
