Summary

This article provides information about a way of farming that will help conserve our environment. Also help lower the cost of farming, this is also a cleaner healthier way of producing food. And help with the soil erosion, pesticide pollution of our planets soil for future farming. This type of farming is called “Sustainable Intensification.” People are also using this type of farming not only in our country but tin the poverty stricken foreign countries, which is enabling them to provide more food and feed their livestock, at the same time lowers the cost of labor.

Many countries are staring to use this way of organic farming to lower the cost of farming and help produce more food for their people. At the same time this type of farming is helping improve our ecosystem, which will help sustain our land to help provide healthier produce for the future generations. Our United Nations are hoping that goals for a sustainable environment are met by 2030. Which will provide a decent living for people across the global world. And will be adopted through the government incentives and policies.

This has been shown to be beneficial in the Farmer Field Schools, teaching them how to build the soil for more produce, including soil-saving no-till technique, while also teaching students on how to conserve agriculture. This is also teaching the students how to conserve water, and help save the trees. This is so important that the next generation learn how to conserve our environment and continue to learn how to farm and grow food. While at the same time lowering the cost and continuing to benefit with heathier food and livestock.

Personal Reaction

Sustainable Intensification appears to be a beneficial way of farming that will help grow healthier produce with decreasing the amount of pesticides used. Also while giving us heathier food it is also providing heathier grass that feeds our livestock. Which will provide us with more organic meats, if we continue to use this way of farming which will hopefully continue to improve then our future doesn’t seem so bleak. This gives me hope for the future generations, that is if they show any interest in learning how to grow produce and raise livestock in real life, not the virtual world.
