Environmental Degradation

Environmental degradation is the current main issues faces by most of the countries. It arises when there is a deterioration of environment through the depletion of resources which include air, water and soil, the devastation of ecosystems due to pollution and the extinction of wildlife and habitat preservation. Due to globalisation, economy activities, rapid growth of population, trade and investment liberalisation had caused a serious environmental issues which could then harm future generation use of resources if no proper regulations or actions were to be taken in force. Therefore, the main environmental degradation issue will be discussed in relation to globalisation in the next few line.
In the recent years, almost all countries are globalized by integrating in order to increase the availability of resources, free movement of goods and services and trade for goods which they have more comparative advantages in. The increase in trade had caused environmental degradation in the sense that when globalization trade arises, industrial structure of countries will alter by country setting more industry internationally which could then lead to the increase in use of resources and pollution levels.
There are several main environmental issues which include pollution, climate change and endanger to wildlife and habitat. These environmental related issues grown rapidly in the recent years which lead to the concern of pressure group such as NGO whereby this groups of people put pressure on businesses and government to change policies so that an objective is being achieved.
In a conclusion, the development of countries and economies such as trade liberalisation, increase in population, globalisation and rapid growth in economic structure led to environmental degradation which could harm the nature, wildlife and even our future generations. Someday in the future, our kids might ask how the ocean looks like. How does a whale look like? Sadly
