My background is the knowledge from both Business Administration and Computer Science fields. Since I don't want to be in the software programming profession for the rest of my life and becoming an accountant, an auditor or a financial analyst is always what I want to achieve, the best choice for me is obtaining the graduate degree in Business, particularly the Master of Science in Business, Accounting Concentration offered at Bridgewater State College.
Nowadays, accountants are increasingly called upon to work closely with those in information technology on the design and development of systems, and their applications such as electronic commerce, activity-based costing modules, data warehouses, and standard financial modules. Moreover, Bridgewater State College's MSM program has a focus on the role of information technology in the modern firm and the organizational changes as a result. With the knowledge in Information Technology and Computer Science as well as the understanding in Business Administration, the MSM will best fit my ability and desire.
Academically, I feel very strong and ready to compete. My strength is studying science courses such as Accounting, Math, and Statistics. I'm an analytical person who is fact and task oriented and always thinks logically. Also, diligence, caution, and focus on precision and perfection is my prominent characteristics. I have the ability to work on detailed jobs which require long hours of concentration. I also like to work in the team on big projects. Therefore, accounting profession will be my successful career.
Practically, working as an entry level accountant in the H&H Construction Company for a year when I was in Vietnam earned me some experiences in the business world.
