Justify the Value's Position in the List. Include any challenges to employing these values consistently when making personal and organizational decisions.

Honesty At an early age, my parents instilled the value of honesty into my life. If you are honest with a person in your personal or professional life, the end result rather positive or negative will still be meaningful. My faith and biblical belief also denotes the importance of honesty. Honesty was placed as the most important value of my list. Honesty builds personal character, develops respect from others and yourself, while building comradeship throughout life. Your reputation always follows you when you walk out of a crowded room and thus being honest is important. If you aren't honest, you are seen as not being loyal and unmoral. The challenge of honesty is that it may sometimes hurt a person's feeling or cause awkwardness when a person is to blunt or forth coming with their opinions.

Perseverance As an African American male, it is important to persevere through obstacles in life. My parents have taught me to preserve achieve my dreams and to not allow barriers such as ethnicity, size, or age to deter them. This value is the second most important on my list. To often as young professionals, we take the easy route through life by giving up when faced with adversity. As we persevere and endure against the odds, we must reflect on the values and lessons learned during our development. An impediment of persevering is that a person may neglect the true task and become to aggressive causing conflict with family members, leadership, or subordinates.

Respect My experience is that you show respect through your behavior by how you consider another persons feelings, ideas, thoughts, and beliefs. My parents also taught me that I should always respect myself first before I should expect for another person to show me respect. I placed respect as the third value on the list. A person must be aware of there feelings
