I believe people should be able to eat sand because eating sand is the right thing to do. Verizon has a code of conduct that I must follow. If I get caught violating any rule in the code then that is cause for my dismissal.

Goal-based Ethics Attention is focused on the results or consequences of the decision or action. What matters is the net balance of good consequences over bad. Consequentialist

I believe people should be able to eat sand because it is good for their health. Every employee has a lunch break that ranges from 30m to 1 hr. Verizon believes everyone should take advantage of this lunch break not only to eat but to walk away from your desk. This creates a healthier you and in turn an healthier work environment.

Rights-based Ethics Focuses on justices as fairness. Gives priority of right over good. The right actions emphasize an individuals basic rights & liberties. Contractaranism I believe if sand is eaten, then it should be available for everyone to eat. In the company, for managers, after 5 years we get 3 weeks vacation after 10 yrs. 4 weeks and so on and so forth. That is available not just to 1 manager but to all managers in the company.

Human Nature Ethics The focus is on human excellence and happiness. Virtue Ethics I believe people should be able to eat sand if they like the taste of it. Verizon offers an Employee Assistance plans (EAP) that offers any type of counseling you can name. This is offered b/c if any employee
