Final Topic Essay

At first I found this paper complicated. The more and more I thought about what type of ethical issues that I had faced at work, the more I began to realize that my work was under many ethical violations. It was now just a matter of picking a topic that I thought would benefit myself. I thought by picking a topic that would maybe benefit myself, I might be able to actually fixed some of the problem. I finally narrowed my topic down to two issues that I thought existed in my company and were still present in everyday at work. My first choice was the topic of my manager showing up late to work and continually leaving earlier from work. This wouldn't have been such a big deal, but the fact that it was always at a minimum of at least an hour a day. Between showing up an hour late and leaving an hour earlier it always seemed like he was never doing as much work as all of the other managers in the store. A close second also dealt with this same manager. Except this time it dealt with how the individual decided to take his or her lunch breaks. The individual has a reputation of taking excessively long lunch breaks. In a break room at work we have a T.V. with a VCR, so he believes that everyday he takes a lunch he is entitled to watch a full movie or at least pretty close to it.

In conclusion I found that both of these topics could be put into one category. So I have chosen to write my paper on a basis of poor time management. Because of the fact that this manager is in a salary position, I really can't consider what the individual is doing as time clock fraud. However I do believe that because of the individual role in the company he or she should be able to manage the time a little bit better than what is currently being accomplished.
