The Eulogy
Her initials are ES which stand for Eleanor Stock. I use the word "is" , because she is still alive to me. Although many people see her as dead, she will always be alive. I will always think back to the first time I met her. Ever since that day in September, she became my Eleanor. As I looked at that beautiful wide eyed girl, I thought to myself someday that beautiful body of hers will be mine. She had been engaged before but her previous fiancÐ"© neglected her. That is why when I took her on our first date she was kind of shy. When I first met her I got the feeling that she hadn't been out that much. So I decided that I would have fun with her on our first date. I took her down to exit 14 so that she could enjoy the scenery. We didn't do anything once we got down there though, we just got off of the Northway, turned around and came right back. From that moment on I could tell that we were a match made in heaven. Although I wanted to show her how well I could handle my car on the Northway at high speeds, I had to watch out because she was black and I was white, so I knew that there are still some cops that would be after us if we made the smallest mistake. Me and her went on a road trip a few weeks ago. I was going up to visit my best friend in canton, I had talked about the new love of my life for months now, so I thought it would be best for him to meet her. I had to take his girlfriend up with me though, whom I dislike a lot. But the only reason I gave in was because no matter how annoying she got, I had Eleanor right at my side. When we got up to canton my best friend adam had told me that Canada was only 20 minutes away and If we left early enough we could make it to montreal at a decent time. Well being the good guy like I am I had to first talk this over with Eleanor before I could say yes or no. When I brought this up with Eleanor she was ecstatic. Both Eleanor and I had never been into Canada before, so this was going to be a first for both of us. I was so happy that she said yes to going to Canada that I made the entire trip special for her. While I drove and she sat there quiet as usual, I decided that I didn't care what those racist cops thought, I just floored the car and wove in and out of traffic. Eleanor to my surprise didn't really scream or get upset like most girls do. Instead she got really excited and started to enjoy the thrill of that speed getting higher and higher. By the time we got into MontrÐ"©al it was kind of late so we decided to just stay the night. My family is against sleeping with a girl before marriage. So I had to get a room on the third floor with all of my friends while Eleanor slept on the very bottom floor. The entire night I could barely sleep, I kept thinking about Eleanor. I kept wondering, was she ok, did she lock her door tight enough was someone going to break the door and steal her from me. Well my mind was at ease when I went to go wake her the next mourning and she was laying there all ready for more adventure that day. It is that moment in time that I wish I could go back to. That weekend was very special for
