On February 22, 2005, Margaret A. McLaughlin Farrell, also known as Peggy, was positioned as the new Director of Institutional Advancement at Archbishop Ryan High School. Reporting to President McArdle, she is responsible for our school's fundraising, special events, recruitments, and public relations. Some of the many occasions that she takes care of are the school's Capital Campaigns, Annual giving projects, the Spring Car Show, and organizing Open Houses and 8th Grade Days.

Although there are many high competitions with other Catholic and Public High Schools to gain popularity and an excellent title, Mrs. Farrell does her best to put our school's great name out there to connect with parents, alumni, and students to benefit our school's population because she said we have a lot to offer.

Working along side with Father Renee and Chuck Carnila, a volunteer, Mrs. Farrell says, "Institutional Advancement is about relationships." Believing in the importance of Catholic Education, she started building her relationship by attending Catholic schools when she was young, and being with the Catholic High School Administration for well over 10 years.

Prior to coming to Ryan, Mrs. Farrell worked at Villa Joseph Marie High School, an all girls school, in Holland, Pennsylvania as a Director of Development and Alumnae Relations. Believing that Ryan had better opportunities for her, she became part of our school when Meghan Lister left office, leaving Mrs. Farrell with an opening as our New Director of Institutional Advancement.

So far, she said she loves the students and faculty here. "I am excited to be a member of Archbishop Ryan's community. It's fun to meet many new people and I look forward to build and continue relationships with members of the Ryan community," says Mrs. Farrell.
