Edwin Tan, the commander of FBI'S elite Special Operations unit, fell on the floor. He hit harder than he had expected. Fortunately, the cheek that took the most impact was the left one and not the right one where, two months ago, a bullet had entered.
The woman who had just slammed him to the floor was his chief deputy commander Antonella "Toni". Before he could even try to recover his breath, Toni threw a short right elbow at his face.
Toni offered Edwin a hand, and he took it. She stood and helped him up.

He managed to suck enough air to say, "Yeah Fine."
