2. Describe the facts of the case. The Fact of this case the girls’ basketball coach at a public high school, discovered that his team was not receiving equal funding and equal access to athletic equipment and facilities

3. What was the cause of action? He brought this suit alleging that respondent school board (Board) had retaliated against him because he had complained about sex discrimination in the high school’s athletic program, and that such retaliation violated Title IX of the Education Amendments

4. What was the court’s disposition of the case? The Courts of Appeals that had considered the question at the time of the conduct at issue that Title IX covers retaliation.

5. What does Title IX prohibit? What does the statute provide? Each institution must have a designated Title IX offices, who must educate faculty, stuff, and students about the rights.

6. Is retaliation a form of intentional sex discrimination? How is retaliation defined? Discrimination with regard to pregnancy is treated as a form of sex discrimination “Pregnancy Discrimination”.

7. Why is reporting incidents of discrimination integral to Title IX enforcement? A part of the education amendments which prohibited sex discrimination in any educational programs or activities that ae funded by the federal government.

8. Why does Title IX’s enforcement scheme depend on individual reporting? One reason is office for rights, and also to protect people from discrimination based on sex in education programs or activities that receive federal financial assistance.
