I. Describe

A. Wendy Fosterweish, Mine, acrylic and oil stick on hand-made paper.

B. Fantasy/Surrealism-Because the figure in the image is very dream like and not realistic.

C. A figure is reaching for this flower that is blooming and it has the word, mine, written across it's teeth. There are more flowers, grass, and a sun in the picture. Symbols-plants.

D. Fine art-the materials used, the image being depicted.

II. Formal Analysis

A. Both real and implied lines. Real lines outlining the figure and the plants. Implied-the figures eyes looking toward the plant.

B. Very bright, rich color

C. Both geometric and freeform. Geometric- the figure, the sun. Freeform-the flowers.

D. Real-the surface is raised and rough to the touch.

E. Positive-plants, figure, sun. Negative- grass, sky.

1. the figure overlaps the grass and the sky

2. One vanishing point

3. everything is portrayed larger than normal

4. The figure's head is in the sky

5. No atmospheric perspective

6. No foreshortening

7. Size- large all over

8. Very bright rich color all around

9. Raised texture all over

F. High-flowers, sun. Middle- figure. Low-green grass, blue sky.

G. Implied- The figure is reaching for the flower implying he may pick it.

A. Achieved through color. Very bright repetitive color.

B. Asymmetrical-nothing alike on both sides.

C. In correct proportion because everything is large instead of one thing larger
