Should a freshmen live on or off campus? If she were to ask the student body this question, she would find that it is a debatable subject. Since most people is experiences would dictate their answer, the majority would probably say yes for on or off? Most freshmen are in their late teens or early twenties and are living on their own for the first time. With staying in a dorm room comes freedom. Everything that has to do with college becomes optional.
Young adults come to college not thinking about their G.P.A. or graduate school. Most eighteen year old students think college is a big party. It’s time to start experimenting and meeting new people from around campus. Many have no cares in the world because their student loans are in their parents names. They receive their rebate checks and use that to party. They are not thinking, that their parents are going to receive their grades at the end of the semester.
All parents like to know that their children are surrounded by other students for safety reasons. Dorm rooms are beneficial for females especially. They have added security around them. Living in a dorm makes the student take baby steps towards being independent. She has to buy her own food, clothes and cleaning supplies. She learns what it takes to be on her own at the age of eighteen.
A twenty - five year old freshman has more work experience. She has had time to develop the social skills necessary to adjust to a different
