Friends
Narrator: As the two girls make their way to school they find themselves daydreaming again, as if they were talking to someone.
Kylie: In a world there are two types of people. One type is those who are all alone and the other has friends. I just moved here in Colorado, so I have NO friends, of course. I would call myself “the backpack girl.” Sorry, I’m just Kylie Lemoore. Well, this is the day I decided to change the world.
Amanda: I wish I could meet Harry Styles. He’s my dream boat… I love the way his green eyes sparkle in the sun and the way his thick hair swishes in the wind. One day I’ll meet him when I’m famous. Sorry, I’m Amanda O’Brien.
Kylie: When I got to school I noticed everyone was in groups except for the girl in the corner. There were three types of groups: the popular kids, the cheer squad, and nerds. I knew I wasn’t going to show that in my old school I was a popular kid. So, I was going to make a new group. Well, when I was in line, the girl in the corner caught my eye again. I really wanted to go up to her, but I didn’t have the courage to, so I sat at the table next to her.
Amanda: One day as I walked into my new school, I could already tell which people belonged in which three groups, but there was one girl I wasn’t sure about. After I got my food, I saw a girl staring right at me, so I hurried to the table in the corner. Then, the next thing you know she was sitting at the table next to me.
Drake: Wow, there are so many people here I just want… wow, there is one fine girl. As I made my way to sit by her, I saw my sister daydreaming again. When she sat down at the table next to her, I sat at the girls table.
Amanda: OH…umm… hey.
Drake: Oh sorry, hi, I’m drake an I’m in 9th grade how about you?
Amanda: Ok what do I say? Ok, well, I’m Amanda and I’m also in 9th grade. Huh, that was easier than I thought.
Kylie: Wow, so my brother can just talk to this girl that I SAW FIRST and be friends with her. We shall see about that.
Drake: What’s your first period. I’m in math?
Amanda: Ha-ha, that’s mine too.
Drake: Cool, can we walk together?
Amanda: Sure, why not!
Chapter 2
Narrator: As the next day approached, Kylie had a talk with her brother.
Kylie: I don’t know what game you’re trying to play this year, buddy, but I’m not going to move again, so give it up and stay away from this Amanda.
Drake: What the nut cracker are you talking about? We didn’t move because of me, but because of you, dummy.
Kylie: *cough* *cough* Excuse me! I wasn’t the one who kissed the principle’s daughter and cheated on a test.
Amanda: WOW! Is this a bad time, Drake? What are you guys fighting about!
Drake: No! I was actually about to leave.
Kylie: Hi, I’m Kylie and this is my--
Drake: FRIEND!! (interrupting Kylie)
Narrator: Drake began to blush.
Drake: Anyway, what’s up?
Amanda: Umm I was wondering if you want to hang out after school?
Drake: Yes! … I mean… sure!
Amanda: Well, ok then, Drake and Kylie, I’m going to class now. See you, Drake.
Kylie: What is wrong with you, Drake, I’m your SISTER!!!
Amanda: What? She’s your sister? Why did you lie?
Drake: Sorry, I didn’t want you to think I was weird and didn’t want to hang out with me.
Amanda: What, I would never. I think your cool!
Drake: 😊
Chapter 3
Drake: Well, I’m pooped, want to watch a movie?
Amanda: Sure, I’m pooped too. Mr. Twinkle Butt gave us too much homework.
Kylie: Hey guys want to go play some games?
Drake: Nah, we good, we going to watch a scary movie.
Kylie: OMG why do you insist on leaving me out?
Amanda: You can join us if you like?
Kylie: Ok, cool don’t mind if I do.
Narrator: As Kylie sat in the middle of Drake and Amanda, Drake got a little mad!
Drake: Umm, hey, Amanda, can I speak to you in the kitchen, please?
Amanda: Sure.
