From Mountain Top To The Flight Line

Essay #4

Golden Gate University

A mountain biking through the rugged beautiful terrain and scenery of the Vacaville hills to the Pena Adobe mountaintop will make an historic and inerasable memory this week. The bike ride through the terrain is tiresome and difficult especially with the afternoon conditions as the temperature rise and the afternoon becomes very hot. Vacaville is town within Solano County in the United States. It has a Mediterranean temperature with April experiencing high temperatures during the day with nights having very low temperatures. The city has a range of attractions with beautiful and attracting sceneries from the mountain top to the view of the blue good-looking waters of the lake lagoon to the Northside of the Pena adobe mountaintop. The stretch up hill is a two mile and has a rugged terrain where one’s ability to navigate through such terrain with big stones and gulley making the bike hiking difficult and challenging needs someone with a well build body.

My picnic to the beautiful scenery view of the Pena adobe mountaintop on the top of the Vacaville hills will begin exactly at 9:00 in the morning. The blue sky with hot sun glazing over the vast mass of land of the city; making the area to be more of a savanna climate than Mediterranean one. Saturday being weekend, I am determined to spend the day to my fullest experiencing the God’s wonderful creation, being an opportunity because of its location-in my city of residency. My ride through the gulley invested mass of land will give a reward of a vast experience on hardship related terrains. I will be equipped with a bottle of water to save me from thirsty and to revive me when overburdened by the rough ride up hill. I will also be equipped with a 39-mega pixel Nixon camera to get some memories of the historic of the gorgeous scenery up the hill overlooking the vast mass of land down the hill.

The dust and cool breeze flowing around the hill like a system of cooling a hot metal after fire casting will give a better experience and help add the pace on the riding of the bike. It is a mountain bike equipped with gear-enabled bicycle derailleurs making the chain to shift to a particular cog set to make the bicycle able to move up the mountain faster. Once I reach the Vacaville hilltop with an attitude of about ninety meters, giving non-obstructible view of the city buildings and the surrounding landscape including lake lagoon which is very attractive with blue waters and sandy beaches around the lake are observable. The cool breeze on the top is so arousing giving a feeling of hell-free zone. The hot sun has run out the power to severely scorch us as a coup conducted and directed by the cool breeze has taken place and it is non-reversible.

If I were directing a film specifically in this location, I would use a bright light to depict the order of the activities as every beautiful and attractive scenery must be captured to display the beauty of the God’s creation. The city skyscrapers and the natural resources as observed from top of the hill will display and make this area to be of tourist attraction. Playing a cool 80’s rock music will make the experience one of the best.

An experience in a flight line in Travis Air Force base is one fascinating moment and an historic memory. Currently, it holds three types of planes including the KC-10s, C-17s and C-5s models. The flight line in the Air base has models of aging planes earlier used by the Air Force for defending our beloved country. The sun is hot with scorching effect and the site smells of the toxic fumes from the combustion of the JP8 fuel and release of the smoke from the planes taking off after successful maintenance session. The surrounding landscape made of low attitude giving easy landing of the heavy troop carrier planes. The wing spans of about 222ft of old planes stored in the airfield waiting for relocation to suitable site increasing the quantity of planes available.
