Communication
Communication is critical because without it no group or organization would exist. It is crucial to a group development because there are many factors to group effectiveness and decision making within a group, the taking in of information and sharing of different ideas. The way we project ourselves verbal and non verbal and the way the message is perceived through the channel of communication could have a profound effective on a person or organization, through miscommunication or difference of behavior and cultural difference.
I think that communication is fundamental because it’s the sharing of information, and ideas and feelings of information with others, like I am doing at the very moment. I am speaking about communication and this is one of many ways we communicate. It’s based on good listening and feedback also a lot of concentration, how we relate the exchange of information not only with a group but in our daily lives at our job, at home or with friend and family, can have a direct affect on a person feeling and the way the message is receive. My feeling at this present moment is feeling of anxiety and nervous because I am not use to speaking in a group. I think most people experience anxiety when it comes to public speaking or making presentations.
Verbal and Nonverbal communication is how we convey our point across, people send and receive messages everyday but the way they perceive the information depends on how it will be interpreted. Verbal communication is the foundation for interaction between people and is one way for people to communicate face-to face. Nonverbal communication takes place without words being use, it includes body movement or facial gestures and hand movement to convey a message. And it is very important to understand the meaning of body movement especially in business because there is an old saying “Action Speaks louder than words.” As receivers we have to be cautious about the conclusion drawn from what is observed and not be too quick to pass judgment or make an assumption that would end in making an ethical business decision.
