The hole infrastructure of the business is a mess they did not have any of there systems interconnected , all there process were inefficient and cost millions of dollars in resources , they didn't have any advantage in relation with there competition and the saw the e business as a way to reduce cost ad make there hole process .
2. Evaluate the current business strategy of GM in response to its competitive environment. What is the role of Internet technology in that strategy? How successful is that strategy?
GM in the last 20 years has lost most of the market and it's trying to regain it by using some new techniques. They have invested heavily on it, they have been trying with there web pages to cut prices, they also have reduced time on seals with all these they have been trying to regain a competitive advantage over the rest
3. Evaluate each of GM's e-commerce and e-business initiatives described in this case. How much value can they bring the company?
Covisint, cute the cost of the vehicles and reduced the time to deliver them. The e-business strategies brought significant value in terms of efficiency and customer satisfaction. Now days you can expects god service, in mediate response of your needs and a great customer's service. This strategy has helped GM to regain some market but the true is that they are doomed to failure.
4. What management, organization, and technology issues do you think GM has had to face and will need to solve in implementing its internet strategy?
First of all they have to cut cost in all there areas they have to become more efficient with less recourses , they have to make the hole new infrastructure and way of selling work at any cost .
