Good And Bad Of Teamwork

Many people don’t like working in groups when one grade will apply to the whole group. I don’t mind working in this type of setting because all of the work is divided amongst the team. If everyone knows what they have to do in order to complete the assignment to the best of their ability, then the grade will reflect the effort of the individual, and most importantly the entire group. If I find that a group member or group members are not fulfilling their task(s), then I will pull them aside and let them know. However, if that does not work, the next step is to notify the instructor and request that the slackers be removed from the group.
I consider myself to be an excellent student. There are times when I have my bad days, but I’m not perfect. The key to being a good student is to start on an assignment the day it is given. Even if I just look at it, and in some cases get some background information on the topic, I can be prepared for the next step. When I was in high school, a couple of friends and I decided to do a group science project. That was good. We all agreed to find out which lasts longer Duracell or Energizer under certain temperature conditions. That too was good. We split up the project into three sections: (1) Typing, (2) Experimenting, and (3) Putting the information on the board and presenting the information to the judges. We started on the project extremely early, or at least I thought I did. I checked on my partners to see how the progress was going regularly, and it appeared to be going fine…or so I thought. The project was due in three days and when we came together to put the science project together, I was the only one who was prepared. Now that was bad. The ugly was when I told them that my information was going to be turned in as an individual science project.
In the end, everything turned out to be good. Energizer and I won second place in the science fair, and they came up with
