Introduction
Good Samaritan Services (GSS) is a national volunteer agency providing geriatric health services. It is funded by both the United Way and fundraising activities, and Mr. Jennings was hired as a consultant to increase course enrollment, but has not met his goal as yet. GSS is suffering from a lack of direction and unity. There is also financial uncertainty of the branch which may result in the cancellation of a presentation by the lieutenant governor. GSS needs to restructure the organization with better leadership in order to produce a positive financial result.
Recommendations
It is recommended that GSS reorganize to have a clear structure of leadership. The new leadership should focus on increasing the motivation of everyone involved, including volunteers and clients. This will result in a positive environment, which will lead to more referrals and more revenue.
