Grendel

Grendel is a foul beast descended from the evils of Cain. He is found in the darkness of the marshes and comes up out of the darkness to the land of Herot to feed on the human warriors. He is a banished creature by god that crushes warriors with the rapid speed of his claws and feeds on their lifeless bodies. Grendel lurks in the darkness over the land of Herot, making the citizens hide in fear of being massacred and eaten. By night, this misfit is again shadowed by the darkness, but don't be at ease, he comes back when the moon has risen and again slashes apart the inhabitants in which do not hide well enough.

Grendel is an enormous monster, his claws are razor sharp and his speed is only beaten by his desire to rip apart human beings. He has the strength to easily crush a warrior with one blow of his evil arms, but he does not have the intelligence to know what he is really doing. He is a brute of a monster, spawned to do just what it does best, kill. Grendel is larger than a human, but he has longer arms with claws the size of a human head.

Although this monster is a savage, there are more to it then the desire to kill. The people of Herot are very scared of this demon, and Grendel doesn't like that very much. Grendel is killing Herot for the very thing that they are scared of, it is a never ending circle that can only be solved by one action; Grendel has to be killed. Grendel's mind isn't like a human, he cannot comprehend what he is doing and he doesn't have the intelligence to do anything but what he knows how to do best.
