I interviewed Marge Gensemer. Marge is my grandma. She was born in Kansas. She is a nice and caring person. She lived at a farm house. She had many animals. Animals like cats, dogs, ducks, chickens, cows, and horses. She had to care for all these animals. She went to a one room school. She also had her own dog. That dog was named Fritz.

Her dog Fritz was her best companion. The dog followed her everywhere. On a Tuesday it started raining really hard, my grandma loved the rain.

That day my grandma wandered away from her house. Her dog Fritz followed her. She walked a long time, she finally came upon a creek. The creek was overflowing the sides because it was raining so hard. The current was also very fast. At home everyone was worried about where she was. Her father and uncle went searching for her in a car. After driving a few miles they found her and Fritz. They saw her standing on a bridge with no sides.

Her dog was standing in front of her almost like it did not want her to fall in the water. My grandma was soaked with water because of the rain. After her father yelled at her for running away, they got inside the car. When they all got home her mother was very happy and mad at the same time. But now its just something to laugh about.

I learned that it is a good thing to communicate with your grandparents because they can tell you interesting stories that you can pass down to your family. And your grandparents will not be around forever so its a good thing to start asking them about what happened when they were kids.
